Why I'm Here
Welcome to FrannyCats.com, the part of my personal site devoted exclusively to my cats, your cats, cat pictures, and cat stories and books. I've written a number of cat stories over the years as gifts for my readers at http://cats.about.com on About.com, and I'm pleased to offer them here.
I've been writing exclusively about cats for over 10 years, and I'm truly living my dream and my passion. Now it's time to fly with my imagination, and the only limits to how high I can fly are within myself.
The picture you see at the left is my Bubba, who left us for the Rainbow Bridge in December, 2006. He, like Shannon before him, lived a long and happy life, and taught me much about life, death, flying high, and unconditional love. This site is dedicated to Bubba, Shannon, and all the cats who have brought new meaning and purpose into the lives of the humans who love them.
My Cats
These are the latest cats that have enriched my life, as did a long string of cats before them. They are, in order: Joey and Jaspurr (now five) who came to us as tiny kittens after the Great Kitten Search; Billy,almost three, who was fading fast at a foster home when we adopted him, but who now is "too sexy for his fur"; Bubba, who lived to be 18.5 years old, and whom you'll read much more about here; and Shannon, who passed on at the age of 19, after a courageous battle with FIV and CRF. I'll share more about each of these cats later on.
